Telogen effluvium is a scalp disorder characterized by the thinning or shedding of hair resulting from the early entry of hair in the telogen phase the resting phase of the hair follicle.
Treatment for telogen effluvium depends on what is triggering the hair loss. Once the trigger has been established and addressed, the hair cycle should normalize and hair will begin to grow back. Treatment options include: addressing nutritional deficiencies through diet.
Telogen effluvium usually starts about three months after the event. Hair may appear thin, but you likely won’t go completely bald. The condition is fully reversible. Once the triggering event is treated or you recover from your illness, your hair may start growing back after six months.
What can you reverse Telogen Effluvium hair loss? If you are experiencing telogen effluvium your hair will grow back with time. Of course, there are some things you can do to help it along. To begin with, rid your body of as much stress as you can.
Hair regrowth with telogen effluvium, it is common for hair to grow back within 3 to 6 months after the cause has been dealt with. Sometimes, the rate of shedding slows down but does not stop entirely. In most cases, no more than 50 percent of the hair is lost.
Hairs will grow for a few years, then rest for a few months shed, and regrow. Telogen is the name for the resting stage of the hair growth cycle. Telogen effluvium is when some stress causes hair roots to be pushed prematurely into the resting state. This is a different problem than gradual genetic hair thinning.
The knowledge that the hair loss will not progress to baldness is comforting to the patient. While topical minoxidil is not proven to promote recovery of hair in telogen effluvium, this medication has a theoretical benefit and is well tolerated.
As you are losing your hair. Now to fix your hair regrowth then you need to use these hair growth supplements. Hair regrowth vitamins such as Vitamin D3, minerals for hair loss such as Zinc and Iron, provide essential hair nutrients to nourish healthy and longer hair.
Vitamin D3 keeps the bones and skin healthy and, in recent years, it’s also been linked to hair growth. William Gaunitz suggests that the vitamin can help create new follicles – little pores where new hair can grow.
Zinc plays an important role in hair tissue growth and repair. It also helps keep the oil glands around the follicles working properly. Hair loss is a common symptom of zinc deficiency. The mineral zinc can improve hair growth in people who are deficient in it.
Iron helps red blood cells carry oxygen to your cells. This makes it an important mineral for many bodily functions, including hair growth. Iron deficiency, which causes anemia, is a major cause of hair loss.
Finally, NutraM is one such type of topical Melatonin out in the market. This product not only utilizes the full potential of Melatonin in support of hair growth but also naturally blocks dihydrotestosterone or DHT and helps in reversing the effects of thinning hair. Nutram is a totally greaseless formula that leaves no residue on the hair and scalp allowing it to be easily applied and styled into the hair.
